World Series Tournaments, Inc. serves as the host organization for the PONY League World Series. The organization's all-volunteer board solicits funding from local businesses and volunteer support from the community to successfully host and grow the World Series in its home of Washington, Pa. The World Series annually attracts over 25,000 fans; has a regional economic impact of over $5 million on the Washington County, Pa., economy; and puts Washington, Pa., in the international spotlight, helping to market our county and our region.
Current Needs
The growth of the PONY League World Series greatest need is for improvements to Lew Hays PONY Field. Increased attendance has created a need for additional parking. The aging field and weather have created a need for artificial turf. The increased television and sponsorship exposure have created a need for a new press box.
