Village of FPC

Nonprofit Overview

The Village provides no-cost childcare and preschool to the children of single parents attending school fulltime to make a better life for their families. In addition, low-income families participate in our program through Child Care Works subsidies and other families pay full tuition to attend. The Village and our satellite site the Rutledge Institute for Early Childhood Education are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and hold the highest Keystone Star 4 quality rating. The Village is also committed to a professional workforce with a shared mission to young children and families.

Current Needs

The Village's greatest current need is updated marketing materials. Unlike daycare, early childhood education provides the foundation for primary school and a lifetime of learning. In addition to sharing awareness of The Village and Rutledge Institute, our marketing materials help families to be informed of the future value of their decision to provide high quality early childhood education for their children. For example, most brain growth occurs in the first five years of life, and many studies report significant lifetime benefits of high-quality early learning.

Families often tell us they wish they had known enough to make their childcare decision based on the educational quality of alternative childcare providers. We need better messaging for a family with a young child to make a childcare decision that can accelerate the child's journey into their future. We will achieve our goal with brochures, flyers, and video clips with help from a team of professionals -- writer, photographer, videographer, and graphic artist.
