Current Needs
Penn Highlands Mon Valley's greatest need at this time is funding to support its many projects that allow the hospital's community to receive the best possible care. A few of these projects include a Level 4 Substance Abuse Recovery Unit, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Sports Orthopedic Unit Renovations. The COVID-19 Pandemic has had long-lasting negative effects on healthcare systems financially, and Penn Highlands Mon Valley is no exception. Lack of state and federal funding, staffing shortages, travel nursing expenses, among many other issues are obstacles that hospitals are currently having to navigate.
