The CARE Center
Nonprofit Overview
The CARE Center encompasses several programs that strive to provide hope, empowerment, and improved quality of life to those we serve. CARE serves individuals regardless of age, race, ethnicity, orientation, identity, ability, or economic status. Our services focus on those with substance abuse and/or mental health issues and those impacted by sexual abuse, harassment, and assault.
Current Needs
The CARE Center has emerged a somewhat transformed and stronger organization as a result of the pandemic of the last few years. Our goals are to work toward diverse funding and expansion for grant funded programs such as STTARS, increased outreach to our communities with the aim of accessibility to services, and recruitment and retention of qualified and dynamic individuals as staff and volunteers at our organization.
Our greatest need is funding in support of direct services staff that provide crucial services such as counseling, advocacy, and hotline coverage in order to meet the ever increasing demands for these services. Having adequate numbers of trained staff ensures that all consumers requesting services receive timely supports with no need for a waiting list in order to receive any service.
