Neighbor 2 Neighbor of Southwestern Pennsylvania

Neighbor 2 Neighbor of SWPA is a faith-based nonprofit based in Washington, Pennsylvania, serving impoverished communities all across Southwestern Pennsylvania. Founded in 2018, N2N partners with local faith communities and nonprofit organizations to serve the most vulnerable.

Our mission is rooted in the two greatest commands: to love God and love others. N2N promotes values such as self-esteem, good hygiene, and nutrition, hosting weekly seasonal outreach events designed to build lasting engagement and provide essential resources for hundreds of individuals and families right here in Washington County! We currently operate with about 150 volunteers, have no paid staff, and own no physical property.

Working tirelessly to serve in meaningful, yet practical ways, while at the same time create a direct pathway for other organizations to operate. With a 100% contribution model, every donation directly supports events and initiatives that help individuals thrive and offers hope through a relationship with Christ.

Almost all N2N Local Community Outreach Events are seasonal in nature. We currently have working relationships with over 45 Local Churches of all denominations throughout Southwestern Pa and over 50 other Non-profit Organizations, each offering unique services and programs that we believe to be essential into restoring individuals and families in Washington County.

Our Spring and Summer initiatives focus on providing meals and hygiene during our weekly outreach called "Under The Bridge", and as we approach fall we will also be hosting Backpack/School Supply distributions in at least 9 specific locations in Washington County: including Maple Terrace/Lincoln Terrace/Jollick Manor/The Woodlands Apartments/Belvedere Acres/Valley View Terrace/Washington Estates, also open community Events at the Houston American Legion and The Washington Park respectively.

Immediately Following our Back-to-School distributions, we kickoff our Annual "Coats for Kids" Distributions where we take racks of Brand-New Winter Coats into 13 local communities throughout Washington County!!

Summary:

1. We will visit our "core" Washington Properties with meals over the next 25 weeks at an avg cost of 200 per weekend, totaling $5,000.00.

2. We would like to distribute hygiene products at least twice at each property this summer/fall equaling 16 unique distributions at and avg cost of approximately $200.00 per totaling $3,200.00.

3. August Back to School Events 2024 est. distribution in Washington County 800 @ 25.00 per fully supplied Backpacks, estimated total cost $20,000.00

We are so humbled and grateful to be able to share our needs, as we have spent years strategically and prayerfully identifying the needs that "make sense", and making the most out of each engagement to connect our Neighbors not just with the "things", but with real opportunities to truly have a chance to overcome many of life's complicated situations, while offering them hope and encouragement beyond a warm meal, or a new coat.
