Heritage Public Library

The Mission of Heritage Public Library is to provide quality materials and services, which fulfill the educational, informational, cultural, social and recreational needs of the communities we serve in a welcoming atmosphere that is professional, inclusive, and respectful.

The Heritage Public Library proudly serves the surrounding communities of McDonald Borough, Robinson Township, Mt. Pleasant Township, Midway Borough, and the Fort Cherry School District.

We are in immediate need of Facility Improvement. These improvements include a new front porch because the wood is decaying. New doors - the current doors are cracked at the bottom corners due to foundation settling, allowing rodents to enter, and the hiring of an exterminator. The hazardous sidewalk and railings on the side of the building needs removed and grass needs planted in its place. The walkways are concrete slabs sitting on soil, and are pulling away from the building and causing foundation/wall cracks. The interior library lights need updated. The library needs security system/security cameras.

These facility renovations would drastically improve safety for patrons both inside, outside and around our building. The new security would not only protect our building, patrons and employees; but also our new computers, equipment and supplies within our facility.
