Dress for Success Pittsburgh

Clothing, connections, confidence! The mission of Dress for Success Pittsburgh is to empower women in the workforce across the region. We provide clothing and employment readiness support to approximately 1500 women in Washington County annually via boutique and mobile services, in addition to the support we provide to women in Allegheny, Butler, Fayette, and Greene. It is our goal to provide women with the appropriate attire for interviews and employment (medical scrubs, nonskid shoes) so that they can feel strong and confident as she takes the next step in their career journey.

Since introducing our new mobile boutique with the support of WCCF in 2019, the demand for mobile services events has skyrocketed, in particular since the pandemic. Mobile services are quickly becoming our primary method for delivering clothing and employment readiness support across the region, and we are committed to serving 40% more women in each county we serve in this way, in addition to continuing to provide on-site services in our Washington Crown Center five days each week. We seek to increase collaboration with our nonprofit partners to provide more essential resources to women who access our services. We are in need of an additional mobile boutique (Ford Transit 250 Van or Mercedes Sprinter Van) to allow us to adequately serve women in the region.
