Community foundations periodically conduct assessments to identify community needs, often using that information to direct their grant funding. In 2023, the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) launched this website as our needs assessment so that the information gleaned from our research, focus groups and annual survey, would be continuously accessible to community members.

As an added service to the community and local nonprofits we included a component that is not common with other needs assessment, the ability for nonprofits to identify their greatest need. The result is a centralized location to learn about broad community needs, as well as the specific needs of the more than 100 nonprofits providing valuable services in our community.
